As promised I said I would post a blog featuring our top three podcasts of the 2019 – 2020 seasonIn 2019 we created our first ever podcast titled, “Invisible Giants”. This is a 12 episode series featuring the stories of Minnesota’s unheralded business leaders who are changing our ecosystem through hard work and innovation. These are stories from the real heroes of today, who deserve some extra attention and praise, especially after a year like 2020.  

This season spanned across the end of 2019 and into 2020, and as you will see, we were lucky enough to record all of these in person prior to the pandemic. And here they are, the top three podcasts of the 2019 – 2020 season according to you were as follows:

1.)  Felicia Boone, Hennepin County Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Consultant

  • How might we own up to our shortcomings and learn to build a stronger, more equitable and inclusive workplace? We talk to diversity and inclusion champion Felicia Boone – that’s how! We had the great fortune of sitting down with her to talk about her valuable work with Hennepin County. Felecia brings many tireless years of working in this space and sheds light on these valuable conversations in our communities.

2.)  Shawntan Howell, Girls are Powerful Organization

  • In this episode, Shawntan shares about her experience in a corporate position and her daughter’s experiences as a growing kid. Shawntan felt the need to create an organization that helps remind girls and women that they are unique, kind, determined, and beautiful. Her organization has helped shape the lives of many young girls in the Twin Cities, which certainly makes her one of Minnesota’s Invisible Giants.

3.)  Shakeeb Rahman, software developer at Oracle

  • How you interact with your data matters, and the tools you use to interact with it matter a great deal. The importance of data is weighing more and more on startups, small businesses, and enterprise organizations alike. Shakeeb shares about the growing pains of managing your data to make it work for your business.
