Position Summary

The Business Development Manager will nurture leads through the sales cycle, determining the needs of those prospects, and offering solutions to those needs through Traust’s IT consulting and custom software development services. As a frontline representative of our premium software consulting firm, you will be selling our first-class services to medium and large companies with multiple decision makers. You will meet or even exceed sales goals, establish long-lasting relationships with clients, and manage sales activities to produce a growing client base.

What You’ll Do

  • Nurture accounts through strategic email, cold calling, social media, and other channels.
  • Effectively use Salesforce and LinkedIn to execute daily workflows.
  • Establish and build relationships with clients to become a trusted advisor.
  • Overcome objections through consultative selling.
  • Understand Traust’s value proposition and competitive advantages in order to effectively differentiate and sell Traust’s value in a competitive market.
  • Demonstrate understanding of how our services fit into prospects’ business operations and match their expressed needs, in order to influence decisions and gain commitment.
  • Connect Traust’s proposed solutions to business benefits and how they will impact the prospect’s business/operations.
  • Effectively present Traust’s services and solutions to prospects.
  • Track and maintain sales data within our Salesforce CRM system.
  • Consistently achieve/exceed our sales goals.
  • Assist with the creation of RFPs, proposals, quotes, sales presentations, and other content necessary to win new business.
  • Become a thought leader and participate in writing blog posts, marketing content, and other sales material.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of sales experience with proven success developing new accounts in a B2B environment.
  • Prior experience with technology and consultative sales preferred.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong presentation, organization, and time management skills.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce or similar CRM software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics and comfort in a metrics-driven organization.
  • Strong social selling skills.
  • Hands-on experience with proposal creation and leading proposal presentations.
  • Ability to analyze industry trends and craft relevant messaging.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A track record of excelling in small teams.
  • Drive, flexibility, willingness to learn, and sales aptitude.
  • Strong passion for business and enthusiasm for shaping Traust’s growth
  • Excellent customer service skills/mentality.
