Traust is now hiring a Business Development Associate to provide high-quality business research, sales, and recruiting support to Traust and the clients we serve.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in gaining hands-on experience in IT, Sales, and Recruiting. You will have consistent exposure to senior leaders both within Traust and our client-base. Your focus in sales outreach and research will provide exposure to a diversity of industry, company sizes, cultures, and organizational structures. You will work with the latest enterprise software packages and tasked with helping Traust move forward as we seek to become a market-leading, mid-sized IT consulting firm.

Primary Duties

  • Create and execute sourcing strategies for effectively identifying and qualifying prospective candidates in collaboration with Traust executives.
  • Engage candidates via telephone and the internet (including social media, public and private databases, job boards, and professional associations) to review detailed project specifications and other vital background information.
  • Interpret data to assess candidate quality, and document and report on the progress of business development and fulfillment processes using the CRM tool, as well as Microsoft desktop software such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Coordinate related prescreening processes through written and verbal communications within Traust, and with candidates and clients.
  • Serve as a Traust ambassador, maintain confidentiality, and professional and ethical standards, while effectively and consistently communicating verbally and in writing with prospective candidates and clients to enable the timely resolution of urgent critical requirements.
  • Manage Salesforce data quality and update and prepare candidate resumes for project opportunities.
  • Assist with digital marketing initiatives including social media, website, and other collateral.
  • Support Traust sales and delivery executives in project sales pursuits.


  • Previous success in a similar role which required creativity, influential communications, detailed documentation, and measurable productivity in support of the fulfillment of customer-focused services, preferably with another technology-related firm.
  • Demonstrated excellence with interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, and effectively prioritize tasks and manage time.
  • Proficiency with the use of the Internet, cloud-based technologies, and  Microsoft desktop software.
  • A related bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
